In many human societies and civilizations creativity flourishes, yet it is not like that everywhere. Have you ever asked yourself why? Well, it could be because if everyone was a creative genius then who would hold down the fort? If everyone was doing their own thing, things would be in a disarray. So, what is the largest percentage of Creative Geniuses that a human civilization or society can hold before chaos ensues?

In my theory 7% because it seems to take 7% to create a trend. For instance in art exhibits, even if some folks are looking for something else, if 7% are completely fascinated at the work of a particular artist, then the trend will follow. It takes 1% creative genius to show them the light and put forth a thought or in this case the artwork - that is to say; one person in a room of 100 to propose a new concept.

You can have multiple trends cascading and interacting flipping your mosaic make-up of society at any one time. More than 7% of a society all going in different directions will cause anarchy because that will create a trend towards Creative Geniuses in everyone, thus everyone doing their own thing and not following any one of the other trends.

As long as you keep it under 7:100 you can prevent anarchy and still have maximum innovation, without collapse. [theory]. So what is my source of data? It is my Personal Observation and Trend Theory. It is my theory and I made it up, however it is said by those who do seminars, that it takes 7% to create a trend in a room of people.

Including minor things like “Standing Ovations” or clapping all the way to acceptance of the group making the movement or change. Once accepted as viable the trend can continue until an equal and opposite reaction takes place.
