I moved back to my hometown of 11,000 people from the biggest city in Canada in May, 2006. My father passed away and left behind the restaurant he had ran for the past 39 years. I returned home to see what I could make of it.

Last year, beginning of 2007.

I received an email on February 11th from an author’s list I belong to. She was encouraging her members to watch a film online. It was only $5 to watch, I was bored. It turned into an evening.

I took a shower.

I made some tea.
I dragged the recliner across the room in front of the computer screen.

In the moments to follow I was introduced to The Secret.

I sat taking notes for the duration of the film and listened with intent as I soaked up the knowledge of the Law of Attraction.

Now, the principles described were nothing new at that point. I had been on the journey to happiness for over the last year. But as I watched the Secret the cloudy awareness of the Law of Attraction began to clear. I knew of the law in my mind, but it never had a name or definition before.

I awoke the next morning full of energy and life. The news of the teachings in the film fell on deaf ears; it sparked no interest in anyone I told. After a few days of this new energy I realized that it was not up to me to tell as many people as possible, it was up to me to SHOW everyone what the law could do. What better way to prove that this stuff was real than to live my life through the transition of becoming a better person and teach it along the way.

My thoughts shifted AWAY FROM the student debt and refinancing the restaurant I was running, not having the life I had dreamed of, quitting the restaurant industry in Toronto to be a freelance videographer and being swept home in a heartbeat into a life I was uncomfortable with, ON TO the things I was grateful for. Things started to turn around.

My quest for knowledge, for truth, for happiness, for wealth in all forms, gained momentum when I discovered how spiritual I was becoming. Spirituality was an underlying tone in many of the success coaches and mentors I had been watching, but it never really hit me.

Fast forward to present day.
As the first year of this awakening comes to a close I look forward to a life lived in a happy state, knowing that I create my own life. I have focused my energy on LIVING a successful life. Being successful is not a point in time. It does not happen on a certain day and change you into the character you live out in your dreams. True successes live their lives as such…no matter what situations may arise.

The successful ARE successful because THEY CHOSE TO BE successful. Everything else is an external reflection of this success. Most times the people we see as successful are nothing more than a product of THEIR dreams. They are living out their dreams because they CHOSE to.

Wealth, to me, is really a measure of abundance. While it is similar to success, wealth is an acknowledgment of the products manifested from being successful. These include a healthy body, a clear, intelligent mind that craves knowledge, great relationships, monetary achievements, etc.
Too many people confuse being wealthy with being rich.
To have riches is to gain expertise, or at least the understanding and practice, of collecting money. It is to own a mass amount of money, whether it was obtained accidentally or purposefully, lawfully or unlawfully. To have true wealth COULD contain riches, or not. Having a balanced life, being free and happy and healthy, no matter what criterion you apply, is what compiles into wealth.

I started discovering that the law was in our everyday lives, not just for the big things we ask for, but for the little things one would think might slip through the cracks, or defy the law. It is, however, just that…a LAW. And like our absolute being at it’s core, there is no right or wrong for the law to follow. It just is. We just are. Our life is created by our self (yes, OUR SELF).

I noticed this passion for the truth, for spirit, and for creating a wealthy life in many of the videos I have been watching online and in the people who have been appearing in my life. I am truly grateful for this moment and everything contained in it. The fact that we, as a species, as a planet, EVEN EXIST is so far beyond the words that could describe it, that it must be discovered in silence, in stillness, in oneself.

With the power of the Internet we have been given the opportunity to connect people all over the planet with one another. More knowledge is floating around the airwaves than ever before. The truth spreads faster than it can be covered up. A spiritual awakening is nearing its tipping point. As the awakened band together this magnificent machine we live in called society will begin to change and we will discover the true nature of our being. Every key to every magical door in our dreams will be opened to us. Every answer to any question we could ever think of until the end of time would have an answer.

The world will love one another like never before.

I think we are destined for peace. We have come too far to let our existence run idle in any way. The job is just a creation of man. Unfortunately, for so many, work has become their life instead of life becoming their work. People have occupied their minds and lives with material things, with social constructs, egos that compete with other egos. The quest has begun for something greater, not only to all of the above, but also greater than ourselves living in our current reality.

A spiritual evolution is taking place across the surface of this planet and we will eventually reunite as one, wondering why we ever spent thousands of years fighting each other. I now have books on the shelf by such spiritual teachers as Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and Carlos Castanada.

I recently realized that by sharing the true knowledge attained on this quest I am becoming that successful person I had always dreamed about. It is easier to experience a life fulfilled than a life of worry, pain, hatred and negativity. We owe it to ourselves, to humanity, to reach a hand down to the ones below so they don’t slip any further, and to gratefully accept the same offering from above.

Life is easy, painless, carefree. Our thinking, our paradigms, control us into the same routines, patterns and familiarity of life causing a cloudiness of this awareness, ultimately leading to suffering. It is not too far below the surface if you just look for it. Everything your brain can conjure up can be manifested if you truly believe in your heart that it can exist, and if you truly ALLOW yourself to have it.

If you can’t see yourself living your life a different way then please, try and remain happy in your current life. You will continue to try HOWEVER, if you have a little spark inside of you filled with wonderment of what it would be like to live your dreams and you have no clue to get there, then start looking for a way. The answers are contained within you. You just have to uncover them.

To begin to achieve your goals by leaps and bounds you need to take massive action. Start to change the way you think and the things you look at change.
If you are looking to get ahead financially and create the time freedom necessary to fulfill your dreams, you truly need leverage. You need a way to make more than you spend and start creating your own abundance.

They say money can’t buy happiness or money can’t buy everything…but it CAN buy freedom in so many forms. What you do with your time when you are free is your own choice. Pursue your dreams!
